RESPITE CARE

We provide periods of rest or relief for the primary care givers who care permanently for their loved one or for a long term client.

It is extremely important to have time off, to just be, breathe and do you!

  • Wake up in the morning and feel like you are not on  call ...
  • Have a pyjama day ...
  • Long walks and the beach ...
  • Eat junk good and not have to cook or think of what the next meal must look like ...
  • Not having to always smile and wave ...
  • Go on holiday ...
  • Dance like no one is watching ...

Being a primary caregiver, whether a wife, husband, family member or a live in carer, can be a highly demanding and a challenging responsibility that no one should have to go through alone.

Comfort in Care understands that respite care is a must for a primary caregiver.  Whether that means relieving the primary carer for weeks, or providing time off in the day, we are there for you.

The benefits of respite care for family caregivers

  • Allows time for rest and recuperation.
  • Creates a chance to tend to personal needs.
  • Relieves pressure and stress.
  • Helps to prevent social isolation.
  • Self Compassion

You should consider it an important part of being a good carer, as you cannot support someone else if you are struggling yourself.
